School & Homeschool Farm Field Trips

Where Learning Comes to Life — From the Classroom to the Farm!

Give your students an unforgettable, hands-on learning experience at Country Meadows Farm!

There's no better classroom than the great outdoors! Bring your school, homeschool group, or educational organization to Country Meadows Farm for a fun, interactive, and educational adventure where students can discover where their food comes from and experience life on a real working family farm.

Our family has been farming since 1879, and we're excited to share our knowledge, traditions, and passion for agriculture with the next generation.

Students will have the opportunity to see our Jersey dairy cows, pasture-raised beef cattle, Berkshire pigs, chickens, and sheep while learning how farmers care for their animals, produce wholesome food, and protect the land.

Through engaging demonstrations, age-appropriate activities, and real-life farm experiences, students will discover the fascinating connections between healthy soil, healthy animals, healthy food, and the environment.

What Students Will Experience

  • Meet the Farm Animals: Get an up-close look at our dairy cows, beef cattle, pigs, chickens, and sheep while learning about their care, diets, and importance to agriculture.
  • From Cow to Milk: Discover how dairy cows produce milk, learn about the milking process, and see how milk becomes products such as cheese and butter.
  • From Chicken to Egg: Learn how chickens are raised on pasture, how eggs are produced, and what makes farm-fresh eggs special.
  • Discover Healthy Soil: Explore the fascinating world beneath our feet, including earthworms, plant roots, soil organisms, and the importance of healthy soil.
  • Regenerative Farming: Learn how rotational grazing, pasture management, and livestock integration help farmers care for the land.
  • Farm Equipment & Daily Chores: See some of the equipment and tools used on a working farm and discover what farmers do each day.
  • Ask a Farmer: Enjoy opportunities to ask questions and learn directly from the people who raise your food.

Learning Beyond the Classroom

Our farm field trips are designed to encourage curiosity, inspire appreciation for agriculture, and help students understand the important role farmers play in our everyday lives.

Activities and discussions can be adjusted to suit different ages and educational interests, making our tours ideal for preschool groups, elementary classes, homeschool families, 4-H clubs, FFA chapters, and other youth organizations.
