Bring home the delicious taste of Country Meadows Farm Pasture-Raised Bone-In Pork Shoulder Roast! Known for its beautiful marbling, rich flavor, and exceptional tenderness when slow-cooked, this hearty cut is perfect for creating mouthwatering pulled pork, savory roasts, and satisfying family meals.
Our pigs are raised on pasture with access to fresh air, sunshine, and plenty of room to roam. Through our commitment to regenerative farming practices and responsible animal care, we take pride in producing high-quality pork with the delicious flavor and quality your family deserves.
The bone-in shoulder roast is especially prized for its natural marbling and connective tissue, which slowly break down during cooking to create incredibly tender, juicy meat. The bone also contributes to a rich, flavorful cooking broth.
Whether you're preparing a Sunday family dinner, smoking pork for a backyard barbecue, or making a big batch of pulled pork sandwiches, our bone-in pork shoulder roast is a delicious and economical choice.
Why Choose Our Bone-In Pork Shoulder Roast?
Cooking Suggestions:
For delicious, fall-apart tender pulled pork, generously season the roast with salt, pepper, garlic, paprika, and your favorite barbecue rub.
Slow Cooker: Place the roast in a slow cooker with sliced onions and a small amount of broth. Cook on low for approximately 8–10 hours, or until the meat is fork-tender and easily shreds.
Smoker: Smoke at 225–250°F until the internal temperature reaches approximately 195–205°F and the meat is tender enough to pull apart easily.
Oven: Cover and roast at 300°F for approximately 4–6 hours, depending on the size, until fork-tender.
For food safety, whole pork roasts must reach at least 145°F with a 3-minute rest, but shoulder roasts become much more tender when cooked to higher temperatures for pulled pork.
Serve with homemade barbecue sauce, coleslaw, roasted potatoes, or fresh vegetables for a hearty, delicious farm-style meal.
