Pasture-Raised Beef Suet

Traditional, Versatile, and Naturally Rich — Premium Beef Fat from Our Family Farm!

Discover the traditional goodness of Country Meadows Farm Pasture-Raised Beef Suet, sourced from cattle raised with care on our family farm using regenerative farming practices. Our cattle graze lush green pastures and enjoy a forage-rich diet, providing quality beef and natural beef fat for a variety of traditional uses.

Beef suet is the firm, natural fat found primarily around the kidneys and loins of cattle. Prized for generations by home cooks, suet is especially valued for its ability to be rendered into rich, flavorful beef tallow, a traditional cooking fat known for its high smoke point and versatility.

Whether you're rendering homemade tallow, preparing traditional pastries and puddings, or exploring old-fashioned farm kitchen recipes, our pasture-raised beef suet offers a wonderful way to make use of more of the animal.

Rendering Tip: Chop suet into small pieces and heat slowly over very low heat in a heavy-bottomed pot or slow cooker. Allow the fat to melt gently without burning, then carefully strain through a fine-mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a clean, heat-safe container. Refrigerate or freeze the finished tallow for storage.
